Vienna is a city with a huge tradition. There are traces of it having been the capital of a great empire everywhere, in the buildings, in the cultural heritage, in the ways of life of the people. There’s a huge offer of classical music and opera, incredible museums and sumptuous palaces and parks, all of which were the residence of an emperor or a member of the royal family at one time or another.
In spite of its imposing atmosphere and its reputation of being a city for people of a certain age and lovers of all things old, it’s a very lively city, with a lot of clubs and bars where you can dance or drink the night away with your friends. A visit to Vienna is something worthwhile even if you’re not that interested in Freud, Klimt and the Strauss family.
